Our company and our philosophy

Maison Gerard is a small corporation established by Geert Renmans with a passion for food. He founded the company and brings his brilliant creations directly to an audience who seeks out the best in sensory pleasures and has a particular penchant for all things sweet. We believe in food as a creative canvas. For Geert, everything he crafts is a personal expression and must live up to his standards in every way. Beauty is not enough if the taste and flavor aren't equally impressive. And something that tastes spectacular but doesn't visually stimulate is incomplete.

At Maison Gerard we believe in the artisan spirit. With that in mind, all of our products are hand crafted in small batches. We strive for each of our creations to be unique, delectable and beautiful. Understanding that your choice to share our creations is an expression of your own taste and personality, we want to make every aspect of that choice an exciting one. We know that the personal attention we devote to our products and our customers will determine our success.

Chef Geert is a Belgian chocolatier who learned his profession in Belgium. As with all Belgians, he was brought up with chocolate… Chocolate is daily food for Belgians and everybody is a fine connoisseur. As a result we talk worldwide of Belgian Chocolate… Like we talk of Swiss watches and French cheese.  Belgians will never give in to the original and true flavor of chocolate and gourmet food.

Chef Geert went to school in the famous Institute “Ter Groene Poorte” in Brugge. He took several classes in Switzerland, France and other European countries. After his school years he went working for several pastries and bakeries in Belgian and the States before moving to Singapore.

He worked for several restaurants here in Singapore before setting up his own business. He is dedicated to high quality and trains his staff in the original ways of chocolate production. He believes that only the best products with the highest quality will give the best products.

He tastes and creates every product and can assure you that he stands completely behind every of his creations.
